As many as 24 running wire lines can be monitored simultaneously for beads, blisters, and HVC faults with the Fusion Data Processor designed specifically for this system. Additional peripheral functions such as calculating spool length, line speed, alarm status, and creation of numerical and graphical representations of performance all are performed and displayed on a 17 inch flat panel color monitor. Many months of operating data can be saved and/or downloaded onto a plant network.

Built into the data processor are additional Lear PCI circuit boards designed specifically to host the multitude of inputs from the Fusion detectors and the wire line machinery.

The cabinet is of 19 inch rack mount steel construction and the internal circuit boards and slots are coated and covered to deal with the factory environment. A key lock front access panel guards the on/off switch, fan motor and filter, and plug-in peripherals.
